As I’m speaking at #smm11 all day I’m preparing this post a few hours before the news goes live that MarketWire Sysomos is preparing what it believes to be the first fully functional social media analytics around Google Plus.  While platforms such as Alterian SM2 have been reporting on plus.google.com urls for the last 3 weeks (mostly content that is shared in Google, such as Google Reader stories), Sysomos offering is more comprehensive, includes sentiment and text analytics.

Naturally, once I get a chance to play with the new Google Plus functionality in Sysomos, I’ll write a post or two on it.  Meanwhile, here’s more about the announcement of this new feature in Sysomos.

The Buzz Graph is Sysomos logical word map and while that has been available for twitter, blogs, forums, mainstream news, this is the first time it is also being used for Google Plus.

According to Sheldon Levine, the community manager  at Marketwire Sysomos -

“….MAP users can now search out key public conversations that pertain to them in the Google+ network. These searches can also be done using boolean operators so that you can find the conversations that matter most and cut through the noise. Sysomos is so far the first and only monitoring and analytics company to allow brands to do this.”

Users will be able to view a buzzgraph, which shows how words are being used and connected to the search term(s), for their searches. Positive and negative sentiment is being applied to the Google Plus verbatim as well (as shown below) – this is the same approach as is being used for Facebook page posts that I covered yesterday.

I just checked and I am already able to see Google Plus activated in my account at Sysomos – so it will be fun to write about it more in a day or two.
