Alan Rimm-Kaufman, RIP, 1968-2009

Sad news, one of the people I crossed paths with, from time to time, Alan Rimm-Kaufman, passed away, two days ago, of  leukemia.

Here’s a link to more information about Alan – Alan Rimm-Kaufman (1968 – 2009): a Tribute.

Alan passed away too young – and he was on the top of the Search field; I usually saw him at Search Engine Strategies in New York, the first time I met him was probably in 2005, or maybe in 2006 – he walked into the press room at the Hilton and was asking if someone would cover a story he had – I listened.

I’m sad for his family’s loss and sorry that giant in The Search World, passed away.

We never know for sure, when our time is up, and while Alan did fight a battle with a disease, a battle that he was destined to lose, but he fought well, and lived a full life, with the time he had.
