There's an IBM Second Life Project that officially lauched today that I've been working as a metrics analyst for, called the IBM Business Center in Second Life and there is an official IBM Press Release that went out earlier today - Live IBM Sales People to Staff New Virtual IBM Business Center.
Here's a YouTube Video of part of the IBM Business Center in Second Life posted by Ian Hughes over at Eightbar.
To visit the new virtual IBM Business Center go to http://slurl.com/secondlife/IBM%20Business%20Center////
I'm sure, in the coming days there will be a lot more coverage of the IBM's Business Center in Second Life - and I'll be measuring both buzz, brand presence, and many internal measurements.
I have some ideas about how to track the value of Virtual World projects - it's just an overall framework (this is a web analytics blog - my focus is on the analytics and metrics).
- In World activity monitored via in world Analytics
- Tracking Punchthroughs using url Tagging - standard analytics
- lead generation
Note: Just want to point out, for the record, I'm not an IBM employee, but a subcontractor for IBM, doing Web Analytics, and nothing I say here represents IBM policy.
