Video Market Share, December 06 - Compete vs. Comscore

Posted by Marshall on February 04, 2007 | Link It

While the online video metrics between Comscore and Compete rarely agree, they almost matched for YouTube in December according to a post in NewTeeVee.

Could that mean, at least, as afar as YouTube is concerned, the audiences being measured by both metrics services are similar? 29,884,593 uniques (Compete) vs. 29,597,000 (Comscore).

Not bad.  Maybe now, the online metrics for the rest of the chart can agree (ie: Yahoo Video has 4,137,147 on Compete but 21,611,000 on Comscore).

It seems to me that I rarely see Yahoo! Video links and embeds, yet I see Google Video almost as often as Youtube. I also see Metacafe a good bit. Maybe it is simply the sites I visit, but not many stats on video share ever go with what I see.
