Attended DM Days Conference briefly today

I was at DM Days conference briefly today and blogged about at The Analytics Guru, my personal Web Analytics blog, in a post titled April Wilson’s Web 2.0 Presentation at DM Days - 6/11/2008

BTW, April Wilson is on the Board of Directors of the Web Analytics Association - she's now Executive Vice President; I have opted to stay out of executive positions on the Board of Directors, preferring to focus on running the Social Media Committee.

One thing that struck me about the presentation was a blurring between the concept of a "microsite" and a "fully interactive" site that ties in will an offline marketing campaign.  April talked about how an online campaign got 6 or 7 times the expected traffic from Sports Fan Enthusiasts of the Dallas Cowboys.

Here's a video I made of parts of April Wilson's presentation

Today was sure busy - I saw April for a little over an hour, she flew in from Dallas for the day, and flew back right after her presentation.

Later that evening I went to a poetry reading for my deceased friend Lester Afflick in the east village -I Dream About You Baby - Poems by Lester Afflick  and I also made 2 videos of the reading which are also posted up (from YouTube).

Then I went to a Wired Magazine Party on Spring Street - before making my way home.

It was a long, long day - and it hasn't really ended yet - but it will soon.  At least it was not so hot today, as it had been for the previous 3 days before today.
