A few new Analytics Dashboards and Upgrades – Web Journal Late July- August 2nd, 2011

A couple of new Analytics Dashboards for Social Media Analytics “popped up” over the weekend including: HowSociable? Pro  – I’ve been a fan of HowSociable? for a while – and I have a chart in Social Media Analytics derived from the data of HowSociable?

Can't wait to see HowSociable? Pro in action!    I'll be curious to see what the advanced version has in it, beyond the screenshots - and when I get access, which I surely will, I'll share my impressions here.

Also, another Analytics Dashboard platform launched this weekend, this one based on Google Analytics - but with some nice Segmentation cuts that make for a very spiffy Executive Dashboard.   The Platform I'm talking about is DashThis! and I found out about it when someone followed me on Twitter from DashThis!   I haven't really played with DashThis! yet, but I don't need to inorder to see it's value.  I did take a look at creating my own dashboard briefly - but decided to wait and do a fuller exploration of DashThis! over the next week or two - meanwhile - take a look at the kind of Executive Dashboards you can build with DashThis!

To be honest - DashThis! is of more value if you have set up Google Analytics with Advanced Segmentation and have really done your homework and tagged all your website elements in the right ways - if you haven't you probably won't get as much out of it as if you had.  Having said that  - you can do some really nice mashups - and I'm not even aware if DashThis! costs anything - it may not - but if it does, its well worth it.   But I just bring up the point about Analytics Enablement to drive home a point that Analytics works best when you can organize your website properties around your Business Goals - in some kind of Framework - and then Dashboard it.  If you have done that, you'll like what DashThis! offers you.

Finally, my friends at TRAACKR have an analytics enhancement to the platform for tracking competitors.
