I got word from Murray Newlands (www.affiliateheat.com) that his Social Media Monitoring eBook (free) is out and he’s interviewed me as part of the book. The interviews were largely done during the Social Media Monitoring conferences Murray Newlands and Luke Brynley-Jones produce in London, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Boston last year.
Here’s a list of who is interviewed in the Social Media Monitoring eBook
This book is an introduction to Social Media Monitoring. It contains an introduction to Social Media Monitoring and interviews with Heidi Cohen, Seb Hempstead Sales Manager at Brandwatch, Trey Pennington, Loic Moisand co-founder and CEO of Synthesio, Marshall Sponder, Tezza Yujuico co-founder and COO of Athena East, Chase McMichael CEO InfiniGraph.com, Charlie Osmond Strategy Director, FreshNetworks, Mark Schmulen General Manager of Constant Contact and Luke Brynley-Jones.
I have highlighted people in the ebook that also have contributed to my Social Media Analytics book that is coming out on August 19th (see sidebar of this blog for more details.
Took a quick look at the Social Media Monitoring eBook a few days ago and I want read it a few times over again, but I’m also glad Murray took the time to interview people I’ve met but had not had the chance to really get to know like Tezza Yojuico of Athena East, an interesting consulting firm that provides Social Media Listening and Measurement Services. Also Mark Schmulen of Constant Contact founded NutShellMail and I’ve met him in Boston and London.
Seb Hempstead of Brandwatch and I met in New York at the Social Media Monitoring conference and Bootcamp last November – later on that month I went to Brighton and met again with Brandwatch CEO Giles Palmer who provides an in-depth interview in my book on the infrastructure of Social Media Listening.
Loic Moisand of Synthesio (which now has NYC offices) helped to produce the Synthesio/Accor Hotels case study in my book – the very first one I got – I believe there are 19 very detailed case studies in the book, much more in depth in most cases than anything you can get anywhere else. I’ve written about the Synthesio platform several times and they have also produced an live demo dashboard (link escapes me) that can give an idea of what their platform is capable of. Loic spent a few months in NYC late last year setting up their New York office and I got a chance to spend some time with them, though the material did not end up becoming an interview. Perhaps that’s for the next book.
Finally, Chase McMichael provided an interview and case study for Social Media Analytics and the Infinigraph widget sits on the upper right hand corner of Webmetricsguru.com.
I suggest everyone reading my blog go and download the Social Media Monitoring Book at http://socialmediamonitoringbook.com/ and read it.
