Social Media Monitoring Bootcamp Boston, New York, San Francisco and London this fall

I was waiting till the dates became public to announce I’ll be speaking at various Social Media Monitoring conferences and bootcamps taking place in Boston, New York, San Francisco and London this fall/winter.  Not sure yet if I’ll be part of the San Francisco conference and there are additional conferences in Paris in early December .

Some of the Monitoring Social Media conferences have a bootcamp associated with them while others don’t – there are 3 Conferences: Boston, San Fran and New York, then London and Paris – but only 2 Bootcamps, which are the day after the New York and San Fran conferences.

Here’s the schedule.

First up is a one day conference on  Monitoring Social Media in Boston on October 5th. The conference takes place at John Hancock Hotel & Conference Center, 40 Trinity Place at Stuart Street Boston, MA 02116

Following the success of our events In London, Influence People is hosting a one-day social media monitoring conference in Boston on 5th October.

Monitoring Social Media (Boston) will bring together leading brands, PR and marketing experts to discuss the latest ideas, trends and techniques in social media monitoring and measurement.  Though a series of presentations, panels and expert-led discussions, we will explore the critical issues that marketers and PR professionals are facing in their efforts to monitor their social media interactions.
Topics we will cover include:
  • Social Media Monitoring Tools and Services
  • Brand and Reputation Management
  • Sentiment Detection and Analysis
  • Data Quality and Filtering
  • Identifying and Connecting with Influencers
  • Beyond Listening: Measurement and ROI
  • The Future of Social Media Monitoring
  • Case studies and Best Practice

Second, New York, where I live is hosting an event on November 4th and half of a day on November 5th on Monitoring Social Media – and I’ll be speaking both days. It’s taking place at
92YTribeca, 200 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10013.

It warms my heart to see Monitoring Social Media here in my home town – happening at the 92nd Street Y, no less.  The program is more or less the same as Boston, but it has the additional bootcamp on November 5th – well worth attending.

Monitoring Social Media Bootcamp is the ultimate “how to” training event for companies and organizations seeking to monitor the social web and measure the effects of their interactions. Through a series of practical workshops, hosted by some of the world’s leading social media monitoring experts, attendees will learn how to use the latest technologies and techniques to maximize their returns from social media and minimize the risks to their brand and reputation.

The Bootcamp is a half-day event taking place on 5th November (the day after the conference). You can buy a ticket separately, or with your conference ticket here.

I spoke at the first Monitoring Bootcamp in London on March 31st, 2010 – I think this one in NY will be as good, maybe even better because it’s all hands on – whereas the the London Bootcamp, wasn’t (but will be this year).  I hope all my readers in NYC attend (and I’ll try to get discounts as I can).

Now, there is a Monitoring Social Media Conference in San Francisco on October 21st and the Bootcamp on October 22nd at Hotel Nikko 222 Mason Street San Francisco, CA 94102 the dates published earlier today were wrong.

The San Francisco Conference will follow the same format as the Boston appearance I’m speaking at on October 5th – I note that Marcel LeBrun and Jennifer Lindsay  are both speaking there which makes it worth going just for that.

Finally, there’s London – where this all started last year, on November 22nd, 2010 at Cavendish Conference Centre, 22 Duchess Mews, London, W1G 9DT

The location at Cavendish Conference Center is the same as the last two times I spoke – it’s a great space – can hold 200-300 people and I’m excited to be speaking there yet again.

London means a lot to me, both on a professional and personal level - I had a great time last November and an even better time this March when I visited – in both cases, the reason I came to London was to speak at OurSocialTimes and InfluencePeople conferences (that’s shorthand for Monitoring Social Media 09 and Social Media Bootcamp London).  I had a good time personally, too, meeting warm people and seeing parts of London and UK, in general that were some of the best times in my life, so far.

Now, the prices for these conferences is fairly modest – a couple of hundred dollars at most – much better value than many of the larger conferences I’ve attended in my opinion.  Also, the conferences are improving in content and changing – it’s not the same deal – they get better and better – I hope I’m able to meet some of my readers at once of the conferences I’m speaking at and that people who read my blog in San Francisco also attend, as they can.

Here’s the links to sign up for each conference – Order now

Boston -First in the series and I’m looking forward to the first Monitoring Social Media Boston on October 5th, 2010.

New York - you must come to this one if your nearby – and remember, there’s also the half day of Bootcamp that is on November 5th.

San Francisco – no, I didn’t leave my heart there  – but if your in SF on November 21st – you should come, especially if your a reader of mine.

Finally, there is London – and I’m excited to be there again

And to keep you going till London, or any of the other conferences you might attend – here’s my presentations from last November at Monitoring Social Media 09 and my ebook that I presented 7 months ago.

(fingers crossed) -  Expect a surprise announcement about that in the near future.
