Was present yesterday to hear New York City Mayor Bloomberg to speak about New York as a Technical Center of Excellence – esp for Startups and innovation.
Here’s my own videos that provide more local color – and then the official TechCrunch Disrupt 2010 video.
Also, there was an announcement about Comscore allowing anyone to tag their site and Comscore will report on it - which may be an advantage and at the same time, increase the number of sites that Comscore reports on. On the other hand, the Comscore Dashboard isn’t much of an improvement over what anyone can get from Quantcast today. True, there is an advantage if you are a startup and have a certain amount of traffic – you can get access to a good chunk of data – but I’ll add – most of the good stuff you’d need to really utilize this data as best as you could, would require becoming a full fledged customers and spending quite a bit more money than what was discussed today.
Still, it’s nice to see ComScore opening up – it’s a sign of where we’re all going.
