Great list, Marshall!

Definitely check out Biz360's Community Insights. We definitely belong in the 1st group, as we index data from blogs, microblogs, online news and forums / discussion boards, as well as feature automated sentiment analysis, tools for managing blogger and influencer outreach, and enterprise workflow modules.

Let me know what you think!

Another company for your list is Sysomos, which offers two social media services: Heartbeat (monitoring/measurement) and MAP (analytics). Since launching in 2008, the company has attracted customers from around the world, including Interbrand, Nokia, Roche, Sony Ericsson and Edelman.

A great post and lots of variety in terms of free & paid tools as well as agencies to help company's get into the social media landscape. I've a list going since the summer....

Paid Social Media Monitoring and Measurement Tools: The (almost) Complete Guide

.... that focused more on just paid tools as I think that is where a lot of corporations need to start. Social Mention is a great free tool and one I use for initial analysis but the paid tools are important for long-term success.

Hi Marshall,

I'm surprised that you didn't notice that Alterian SM2 (Techrigy SM2) is missing. Your slide deck includes many screenshots from SM2.

I commented on Dave's original post. And I'm curious as to your opinion? I believe that Alterian SM2 fits in the first category. It has the most comprehensive charting & analytical abilities on the market. It also has automated sentiment with a customizable dictionary, workflow and many other aspects (geomapping, etc).

Hi Marshall,

Thanks for mentioning RepuMetrix and including RepuTrace™ on your list of tools and would encourage anyone with questions relating to our tools and service scope to contact us or stop-by our blog.

On the reputation management front, we have a new addition to our product suite called RepuTrack™ which we would be happy to demonstrate to anyone with an interest in managing their online brand reputation.
