That is completely awesome. Thanks for the great post with charts/graphs etc.

The bit about Twitter being such a focus because the potential reach is so great is dead on. As people start getting better web analytics from that channel figuring out a "handicap" for it might be worthwhile.

It's exciting to see this.

You hit on one of the most compelling qualities of the Digital Footprint Index. Because of the multitude of tools (both free and subscription-based) that can provide all of the metrics needed for the scorecard, Height, Width, and Depth become a holistic method for understanding and benchmarking how a brand (or individual) is talked about, shared, and understood online. Radian6 was a great choice for running most of the data.

You are completely right about the need to compare the DFI values to that of the industry or leading competitors. The values over time are informative, but a competitive context for those numbers is essential for understanding if the value is "good" or "bad."

I'm also really glad you tackled the three-dimensional representation issue. I have spent hours trying to figure that out! [Still looking for ideas]

Hi Marshall,
The dictionary in SM2 is fully customizable so you can make the sentiment analysis as accurate as you'd like.

Wow. Thanks for sharing this. Looks like a good way to incorporate reporting from a variety of data sources.
