Social Media Engagement Measurement Ideas

Posted by Marshall Sponder on August 25, 2009 | Link It

Got an idea on how to measure engagement while attending a meeting focusing on social media for small business.

A speaker pointed out using Friendfeed to engage with individuals one may want to reach out to is effective, if genuine and reciprocal, and usually ends up generating an offline action, something more than a blog comment, and beyond an email response.

That got me thinking about how easy it is to share content online, but there’s little effort involved in exchanging information that’s in electronic form, already.

It’s more interesting, and, more engaging, to take an action in one medium, or one channel, and move it somewhere else, like online to offline, or vice versa.

Thinking more about how to measure this, what the framework would be.
