New York Tech Meetup now has 10,000 members. First up is UpNextNYC, a 3D application which I actually downloaded last weekend.

Central is an application that shows you where you are in Social Networks, intergrates with Facebook and Twitter, ETC, works on most mobile platforms and 410,000 users worldwide.

NYSenate.Gov is using Social Networking to expose the workings of NY State Government and there is a Barcamp taking place this Friday in Albany.

LiveStream is based and funded in NYC and used WOWZA, which I wrote about recently when I met the founders of WOWZA for breakfast at Streaming Media East over at the Hilton Hotel.

LiveStream has some pretty cool technology for demos and even games (game).

Aviary.com is an online application that allows you to create graphical content directly from the browser without any desktop software. An API for Aviary allows sites to create content directly. You can run your own contest using Aviary.com. An online Audio Editor is going to be released soon. Aviary works with Schools to provide students a inexpensive way to create content and collorate.

MakerBot Industries makes kits that creates machines, it’s a 3D Printer. You get a 3D file (ie: from Sketchup); the software is all open source. Normally this type of 3D Printer costs 25,000.00 USD, but MakerBot costs 750.00 USD. Interestingly, not much breaks down and if you did need a part, you could print it up!!!!!

Mahalo 2.0 – Jason Calacanus – is showing his new version of Mahalo.com human powered Search. You can now go to Mahalo, create a page, and get half to keep .the adsense revenue.
