Search Engine Strategies Today

One thing I noticed today is how much Search, Social Media and Analytics are converging (as I predicted).

I’m Tweeting more than blogging today @webmetricsguru. – it seems easier, somehow, today.

I’ll probably blog as much as I can today and Wednesday, but follow me on Twitter if you want to know what’s happening at #ses .

At the Survival of The Fittest panel right now, and the focus seems to be on swifter and faster decisionmaking and response, also fostering relationships even when you don’t have anything to sell.

A question about using blogs to drive traffic, @bryaneisenberg talks about the quality of his content (but Kevin Lee points out you should have a strategy for content creation, first).

One site or multiple sites? One panelist bought several competitors due to cheap prices (nutrition sites), but with so much good content, it’s time to focus on product quality and customer service.

Selling and buying online has become so fundamental that content is now less important yet Google continues to focus on informational content leaving Paid Search as the only avenue for a marketer to get someone who is “ready to buy”.

And with Universal Search has created multiple ways your content can be displayed, but you need a lot more content (of multiple types).

I guess, what’s life without some contradictions and conflicts?
