Gregory Gallent – Shorty Awards, can nominate any Twitter Handle. The idea is to make reccomendations on who is best on Twitter. There are 25 official categories, etc. There are 1500 unofficial categories, 3 day celebration in NYC next month.

Klout -measure influence across the web. This a pretty interesting. The K-score is a numerical and shows the people you influence and who influence you. Follow @klout to get on the private beta.

Botanicalls – Twitter and Plants (I heard of this one over a year ago). They have a DIY kit that Twitter. I guess when they get 2 way communications with the plant that will be something!

I think this has been one of the best meetup I’ve been to, and it was all focused on Twitter. I like Nate’s “juicing the system” phrase focusing on communications between communities and forming a “community” committee to ensure that. Maybe I’ll try to nominate myself for it.
