IndieGoGo.com – Interesting site with Facebook Integration – Future of Social Networking

Posted by Marshall Sponder on January 28, 2009 | Link It

I don’t know how I ended up on IndieGoGo.com tonight -but once I saw the picture of Seth Godin and Ianwithcoffee.com, I figured I was home and might as well sign up – even though I’m not a filmmaker, exactly.

Besides signing in via Facebook – I was able to create and promote a film project using tools built into the site, including a widget that asks for contributions for my film project – interesting!  Somehow, I can’t seem to post an iFrame here, but here’s the link to the project I created – Aix in Provance Film of MT. St. Victiore‘s audience!

I guess, technically, I could have a project – to create another, longer, more detailed film than that which is being used by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (see below) from my footage taken in 2006 in Aix en Provence.

The reason I think IndieGoGo.com is the future of Social Networking is that it doesn’t try to create another Social Network, instead, it intergrates Facebook and gives guidence to help a film maker promote their work or plans for work.
