My last post, and I am on my IPhone now, no links, was about Social Media Measurement and I said we need a data collection process on sites we want to track social media to, and that listening process talks to the social media monitoring platform.

Ok, so we start a campaign, tag it, monitor it, including the viral spread of the campaign message, all of this is possible with technology in place now for web analytics and intelligent agents, it just needs to be retooled for Social Media tracking.

But what is Friend Worth? What’s any action worth?

What’s Gold worth today? What are the variables determing Gold’s price?

I suggest the value of someone’s friendship, virtually, is the value based on demand for that persons attention in a free trade market that has yet to be invented.
