At the Social Media Club NYC Mixer

Posted by Marshall Sponder on October 16, 2008 | Link It

I’m sure glad I went over to the Social Media Club NYC Mixer tonight where I had Cocktails with Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells who founded Social Media Club.

I was tired tonight, still am, and going to bed soon, and the mood in New York has been somber lately – people are scard, what’s going downtown, at Wall Street, and in the rest of the economy, the beginning of some some small scale layoffs, the rapid drop in the price of Oil (which normally is a good thing – but in today’s market, nothing seems normal anymore), the changes in mood – just a sense of churn, made going to a social event and hanging out more fun and refreshing than I expected.
It was my first time meeting Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells.  And it was good seeing some familar faces like Carmina Perez,   Gary Sharma , Stephanie Agresta , Chrissie Brodigan , Chrissie Brodigan , Liz Pullen ,Devin A. Brown, Michael Lewis.
And now it’s really time for bed.    But the gathering was one of the better one’s I’ve been to lately.

really great to meet you Marshall – looking forward to connecting more and delving into some of those social media analytics further. As we were discussing, you should really talk with our good friend Adrian Chan – you will have a lot to discuss http://gravity7.com/
