Gatineau AdCenter Connection

Now I know why Gatineau will never overtake Google Analytics, or in fact, any other analytics platform…..it's not intended to according to a post titled - Why can't you install Gatineau? (And other questions), in Lies, Damn Lies.

It seems to me that Gatineau is really only helpful as a choice for those running Microsoft AdCenter - and if your running it - it might be a good idea to also use Gatineau - but probably not otherwise - at least, that's the impression I get while reading Ian Thomas

That wasn’t quite my point, Marshall. Gatineau will provide web analytics which will integrate with Google, YSM and adCenter, so it’s not just of use to people using adCenter.

It’s not our intent to “overtake” (whatever that means) any other specific web analytics platforms - that’s a poor proxy for success. My post was intended to highlight some of the real business problems we’re trying to solve, and to give an idea to the original poster who asked the question what kind of customer we see most benefiting from Gatineau.

You’re also overlooking the value of the demographic data offered by Gatineau. Better understanding the deomographic profile of a site’s traffic would be of value to a great many people besides adCenter advertisers, I should think.
