I was thinking of something similar to iMedix.com when I wrote about Social Networking for Doctors - part of a growing trend of custom social networks but felt that I had not yet seen an example of a Social Network where patients search of for the responses from other patients. I actually tested it and the results were an improvement over Google's results for the same query.
I'll have to test it some more with other medical questions, but I see iMedix.com as filling a need for niche social network catering to patients.
