The LeWeb3 07 Videos are now all up and I'm thinking of reviewing several of them over the next week or two - often I can pick up information that I might have missed in person.
One thing I've often wondered about, in a conference like LeWeb3, is how to put all of this information together - to make a comprehensive view - I'm sure everyone will make something different out of the same experience. There's so much information here, but at the same time, people on stage are mainly there to share their experience or pitch an idea - so when you put it all together - what to you get?
I think, that question, is best answered by comparing LeWeb3 this year from last year (Videos are online in the same place); I tend to look at conferences more as the conversations I have with people there, or the parties and gatherings I go to, that would not, otherwise, happen. Most of the time, I don't get that much new or useful information from the actual sessions - it's what happens in between the sessions that counts the most, I find.
I suppose the only thing that could top LeWeb3 for me would be an invite to the upcoming Davos Conference next month - but I know that's not going to happen. TED would be a close second to that - but both out of my sphere of influence, for the time being.
