Just read about FEC Rules for Daily Kos: Blogs Exempt From Regulation which has important implications for anyone that blogs (like I do) -

"…The FEC issued an important ruling today, finding that blogs are media and like all media since 1974, media activity has been explicitly exempted from federal campaign finance regulation:"

So…. blogs are news media….and being allowed to report election related news without being fined for it (which is what I think this is all about).  

And don't we have a big election coming up soon?
