Technology can be straightforward or it can be somewhat convoluted. One of the more interesting videos on controlling objects by the power of Thought Control is illustrated in this video which highlights a thought controller device manufactured by NeuroSky.
Here's the video - http://www.brightcove.com/title.jsp?title=704328501 (I can't seem to embed it here so I'm just providing the link to it).
"..NeuroSky has developed a cost effective bio sensor and signal processing system for the consumer market. Our wearable technology unlocks worlds of new applications such as consumer electronics, health, wellness, education and training.
The neurons that comprise the brain work on electrical impulses. The last century of neurological research has shown us that brainwaves of different wavelengths indicate different emotional states, like a focused awareness, a meditative state, or drowsiness. Brainwaves have been used in medical research and therapy for years. We're bringing it to the consumer world."
A couple of years ago Wild Divine had an opportunity to own this market but they blew it by making a series of Biofeedback games via the metaphysical community - an excellent device and research ended up getting convoluted into a toy used by feel good Doctors Deepak Chopra, Dean Ornish and Andrew Weil. Opportunities to link Wild Divine Biofeedback with Second Life, with more user generated content - were totally lost and the company's technology never became more than a small tiny niche. Even the game, which as first seemed impressive - does not look that impressive anymore.
Compare what Wild Divine does, with all it's limitations to what NeuroSky achieved and look who they partnered with. I have nothing against feel good doctors, but it's amazing how many real opportunities they missed.
