I just posted on Smartmobs - Coming of the iPhone … Dell, HP, Intel, IBM, and any IT company will suddenly need a cellphone strategy and 3D Virtual Maps, all over the place, care of Google; both I would have covered here but first is more focused on Mobile Technology and the second seemed like subject that also belongs in Smartmobs.com.
I try to post on Smartmobs once or twice a week - selectively - to fit in the topic of what that blog is really about - subjects surrounding Mobile communication, pervasive computing, wireless networks, collective action, etc. Pretty much that's what Howard Rheingold writes and lectures about.
The only point I want to add here - that both 3D Virtual Mapping Technology and what Tomi Ahonen's recent post Entering iPhone Era: Marking Time in Mobile are heralding - are also going to require eMetrics - and I did not hear anything at EMetrics Summit last month around Mobile Technology - no one, that I'm aware of, presented anything on this - it's probably too new …. but then again, maybe not.
