Technorati on the way out - Rubel

Just took a look at the new Technorati and I have to say that I have mixed feeling about it - and I'm not alone. Steve Rubel thinks the Technorati's star has fallen and so does Ashley at CyberNet.

I got used to Technorati the way it was - and while I just looked at the new Technorati for a minute, literally, first impressions are telling. You should know right away - in 10 seconds - if you like a site or not.

Technorati looks like changed appearance to please people - but people don't want to be appeased, they want to look at something they think of as "the best" of class - the best of something.

Is Technorati the best Blog Search Engine? No; it hasn't been for some time. Case closed.

I'm sure Technorati is not going away soon, but it's not really a hot place to go anymore - it's not a place I'd really expect to look, or find out anything - but that's just me.
