The 10 minute guide to Google Website Optimizer by Bryan Eisenberg

Let's see - Is Bryan Eisenberg a man of his word?  Does Bryan's 10 Minute to Testing with Google Website Optimizer take 10 minutes to go though - I'm timing it now:

Minute 1:   Page 2, how to set up took me less than a minute and I intuitively understood how to setup Website Optimizer to test my home page - I was thinking of a client's site called www.Chaacreek.com and the page I need people to get to is thank you for submitting page- that's the goal.

Minute 2:  Page 3 - where to put the snippets of generated code I did in 15 seconds - better than he minute I thought I'd spend on the page.

Minute 3: Page 4 - I needed the extra time as page 4 had a lot of stuff on it - but it was easy to understand how to pick the parts of my pages I want to test and how to enter the values that will be alternated.  I spent a full minute here.

Minute 4: Page 5 was a continuation of page 4's subject and took 15 seconds. I also did Page 6 in the same minute (but there was no scandalous activity on Page 6)

Minute 5: Read pages 7 and 8 which are more guidance than anything else in less than a minute.

The PDG guide to 10 Minutes to Testing with the Google Website Optimizer took me only 5 minutes to go though - and understand - Bryan Eisenberg delivered on his promise to keep it simple and under 10 minutes.

Bryan Eisenberg and others have tons of helpful resources available at GrokDotCom. For those getting started with the Website Optimizer I have written an article on using multivariate testing to increase conversion rates. Definitely download Bryan’s white paper.
