A Long Day at Search Engine Strategies

Posted by Marshall Sponder on April 12, 2007 | Link It

I spent approximately 45 minutes listening to one session on search behavior on day 3 of Search Engine Strategies while the rest focused on talking to people.

For one thing, I was part of a live podcast of Bryan Eisenberg's Blog Buzz show on Webmasterradio.fm today along with Gary Angel, Avinash Kaushik and someone else from Indextools. The podcast is not yet posted in Webmasterradio's  archive link but soon will be.

Here's some pictures:

And here's a picture of Avinash Kaushik, my favorite Google Analytics Evangelist, taking with a visitor at IMG01471.JPGSES:

Today was kinda magical – just hanging out with Gary Angel and his coworker in the Semphonic booth was way more fun than listening to any of the SES sessions I could have attended instead.

Liz Camps, my friend who owns Green Media LLC bought a podcast recording device and we did a short podcast about Search Engine Strategies and Virtual Worlds 2007 conference which I hope she'll publish soon.  I gave my pass to her for the last day as I am saturated, so she'll go tomorrow in my place and I'll be back in the office the entire day.

Last night Gary Angel and I went out to dinner and had a pretty good time – tonight there was a party at the two bars in the Hilton's lobby and I spoke with Lee Odden, Mike Levin of HitTail, Bryan Eisenberg and his wife (they planned to go to a Meatloaf Concert at MSG but it was cancelled at the last moment) and Nigel Ravenhill of ScanAlert – a really cool guy that has an interesting background.  Liz Camps also came by and we all hung out for about an hour.

I'm too saturated right now to write anything more tonight – need my sleep.  I had not been keeping up with my RSS feeds – there's a lot for stuff going on I'd like to comment on but a need a day or more to catch up.
