Virtual World 2007 VIP Reception at the Millenium Hilton

Arrived just before 7PM at the 55th floor Presidential Suite of the Millenium Hilton to find about 60 people, many being speakers for the conference, PR people, Linden Labs executives, Electric Sheep Company employees and various members of the press.

I ended up speaking with Eric Rice - a name I'm familiar with I have not been, up to now, a reader of his blogs.  We spoke about a lot of things (I was in a group conversation with 3 other bloggers) including The threats of death and sexual assault focusing on Kathy Sierra's death threats, Twitter, A List blogging and New York City vs. Silicon Valley.

I also spoke a little with Jeska Dzwigalski who is a community manager for Linden Labs, Sibley Verbeck, CEO of The Electric Sheep Company and Jerry Paffendorf, Futurist in Residence of Electric Sheep Company, Chris Sherman, Director of ShowInitative.com and Robert Anthony, a blog writer for www.paperpc.net and www.wirelessinfo.com.

Finally, I conducted an interview with John K. Bates, an "Evangelist" for www.EntropiaUniverse.com and www.Terpin.com.  I'll cover the interview with John Bates in my next post - but not in great detail as I'll be getting much more information from John in the next week or two on EntropiaUniverse.

A lot for one evening - and I'm tired but will write a little first.
