Meeting with Bryan and Jeffrey Eisenberg at FutureNow

I met with Bryan Eisenberg and Jeffrey Eisenberg at the offices of FutureNow, located in Red Hook, tonight; spent close to three hours looking at GrokDotCom's new website and the groundbreaking technology behind it - as well as a personal demonstration of FutureNow's Persuasion Architecture.

Ok, what can I say about the new GrokDotCom?

I was aware GrokDotCom had changed when I got a track back Sunday night from GrokDotCom to my www.ArtNewYorkCity.com blog and was surprised - so I took a look and saw a new site with a lot of RSS content.  On Monday I received a mail from Bryan letting me know GrokDotCom had changed and, though a series of emails exchanged over the last 36 hours, I was invited over to FutureNow.

And I think I'm the very first person outside of FutureNow to get an peek at what drives the new GrokDotCom, but I can't talk about it.  I will talk about the results.

GrokDotCom (whose feeds everyone should subscribe to - especially the "best of the week feed" ) - uses content aggregation and scoring technology to determine the most authoritative and freshest Internet Marketing, SEO/SEM, Web Analytics RSS feeds automatically, saving us a great deal of time.  In time, more customization will be introduced, as well as a way rank stories and comment on them at the same time.

Bryan Eisenberg personally showed me how the new feeds work on GrokDotCom - I'm impressed!  As more details come out, I'll go over them here.

Right now I'm still studying how content appears in Google Reader; the new GrokDotCom should be able to plug us in with the most important information in Internet Marketing on an hourly, weekly and monthly basis.

I'm glad the Eisenberg's invited me over.

The  Persuasion Architecture process took about an hour for me to see and was shown to me by John Quarto-vonTivadar, one of the inventors of Persuasion Architecture and a former NASA Scientist - I asked a lot of questions which my hosts answered - one by one; it's a lot to absorb in one sitting.  I got a copy of self study guided course that allows anyone to go through a website and find most of what's holding back conversion all on their own.

I also got to see what the more expensive Persuasion reports looks like - they're very personalized for the site being analyzed and have a great deal of detail - it's a whole book on what is not working on your site and how to change it.

I left with a lot of material to digest - and I hope to go back over to FutureNow in a couple of weeks with some more questions.

We also discussed improving conversions through social media - I have suggested to my clients they use Social Media more, while the Eisenbergs think overdependence on Social Media is an abdication of responsibility on the Marketer's part to convey why a product or service is important (I wrote this down in my words, not theirs - but I think that's the gist of it).

As we were leaving FutureNow's office, Bryan and Jeffrey showed me their art collection (I'll write this up in ArtNewYorkCity.com tonight). Quite a lot to go over tonight, my head reeling with information and a couple of books, my hosts quite graciously gave me a lift on their way home (it's bitterly cold tonight in NYC).

Thanks Bryan and Jeffrey Eisenberg!
