Corporate Review

I was surprised to see how much traffic a website devoted to reselling Timeshares can get; SellMyTimeShareNow is a site that connects timeshare buyers, sellers and renters.

Just look at SellMyTimeShareNow traffic stats which are publicly available by clicking on the extremtracking icon in the lower left corner of SellMytimeShareNow's home page.  On average, SellMytimeShareNow.com gets 40,000 Unique Visitors a week with over 7,000,000 Uniques since the site went live in 2003.

One of the things I found most interesting is where the Unique Visitors came from - 59% came directly to the site without a referral (they bookmarked the site from a previous visit - return visitor - came from clicking on link on another site or typed in the URL of the site from a printed or written referral link) - see below:

Referrer Totals: Sources Unique Visitors
  Website     3618000     58.78%
  Searchengine     2536094     41.20%
  Usenet     277     0.00%
  Email     27     0.00%
  Harddisk     7     0.00%

The rest of the Unique traffic came from Search Engines (mostly Google); the Google traffic is a mix of paid and organic traffic, as SellMytimesharenow.com has a vigorous AdWords PPC with between 170,000 and 380,000 key words classified into 3 tiers of effectiveness.  From the organic traffic, about 15% came from variations on the term "timeshares". In addition, 80% of www.SellMyTimesharenow.com's traffic comes from the United States with another 5% from Canada; the rest from Europe and Asia.

SellMyTimesharenow.com allow timeshare owners to run featured ads on the site and you can search for timeshares in any state (I picked New York) and get a current list of available shares.

Testimonials are important as a way to build credibility and trust and there aer several testimonials of satisfied advertisers which includes the name of the advertiser and the ad they ran.

I also used Quantcast.com to take a look at sellmytimesharenow.com's demographics.  For one thing, the Unique visitor count is pretty close to the actual numbers, with an estimated 160,000 Uniques per month with the strongest segment of users being between 55-64 years of age and an average income of over 60,000 USD a year.

Also, using Compete.com I was able to determine that the average visitor to SellMytimeshare.com views 7.8 pages per visit and average of 7:26 minutes per visit; impressive.

When SellMyTimeshareNOW.com first started, the site was attracting about 1000 visitors per day. Now, according to a press release that includes a conversation with CEO Jason Tremblay, the site gets 1000 visitors per 30 minutes, or almost 50,000 visitors per day. In fact, so far in 2007, the site has averaged about 1.97 million visitors per month.

Definitely, SellMytmeshareNow.com is worth taking a close look at if your in the market to buy, sell or rent a timeshare.

This company has a very thick file with the Better Business Bureau. When a complaint is filed with the BBB, it is typically because the customer has become so frustrated with a business, they feel they have no other choice but to bring in a third party to resolve their issues. Although sell my timeshare now has been in business since 2003, it appears they didn’t become members of the BBB until December of 2006. Today is November 24, 2007, and they’ve already had 17 complaints filed against them! Although they’ve resolved the complaints filed against them, their record with the BBB speaks volumes about their business practices. There are plenty of timeshare resale companies out there that have been in business much longer than http://www.sellmytimesharenow.com, and have not had a single complaint filed against them. If I were looking to transact a timeshare sale or rental, I would research the other choices.
