Great Blog Writing - the filter is better off gone - Seth Godin

Posted by Marshall on February 17, 2007 | Link It

I happened to come across Seth Godin's post last night on Great writing, unfiltered and it reminded me of why I like blogging so much (I can't stop - I'm addicted):

"…The thing most people miss most is that they no longer have an excuse. Without a publisher/editor/boss to blame, your writing is your writing. Your followup is your followup. That means some people become trains without tracks. They just sit there.

The barriers are gone, the costs are zero. The question is: what are you going to do with your writing?"

Good, so we don't need to blame anyone else - we now have a peer-to-peer network with the rest of humanity (who's online) that needs no publisher, no editor, no boss - it's you and the Long Tail.
