Google opened up an office yesterday at 111 8th Avenue, NYC and moved 500 employees over to it. Fantastic! Chelsea neets Google and I have been passing 111 8th Avenue often and thinking…..wonder when Google is actually going to move in? Well, it happened. First the speculation which I wrote about last month: Since then I passed 111 8th ave maybe 3 or 4 times.
Now we know what the inside of the new "GooglePlex East" looks like:

The inside work area looks like a typical Chelsea office - similar to say…Barnes and Noble’s Chelsea operation which is near by.
I really think it’s cool to have Chelsea Google GooglePlex East located so close. I wonder if they can do stuff in the new Chelsea GooglePlex East that they do at the GooglePlex west .
Will keep my eyes open everytime I pass the Chelsea GooglePlex East at 111 8th Avenue - which I’ll do….today.
