ClicMobile AreYouHere Social Networking Platform

It sounds like an interesting idea - build your own platform for creating social networks and sell it to other companies that want to build one.

That sorta happened with ClicMobile AreYouHere according to Jake Ludington, who was at the DEMO China show recently.   I met Chris at SESNY06 and have been reading his blog and receiving his newsletter since then.  The AreYouHere platform solves a recurring problem in social networks - having to signup each time you join one and starting from scratch.

"One of my biggest frustrations with social networking in general is the need to create a new profile with identical information every time a new site pops up. With only one site implemented at the moment, it will be awhile before we see whether the integration works in practice."

"…..in the only live environment currently at France’s YooTribe.com. YouTribe was created for M6 which is one of the larger telecom players in France. Below you can see the example profile I created through the French interface."

Were the AreYouHere platform adopted and used to build social networks - you could join new ones without having to signup - right now you can’t but maybe next year you would be able to - as more networks are built with AreYouHere.
