Snakes on a Plane

I did not see Snakes on a Plane this weekend - maybe I should have with all the buzz that’s circulating in the blogosphere; sounds like a good movie.  Besides, I’ve been really burnt out this weekend and put the last bit of energy into an interview (part 1 / part 2) with Marsha Wooley at ArtNYC.

But this "snake" thing keeps cropping up and not only on planes - it’s also cropping up on Websites, according to Chris Pirillo

"I had another dumb idea. Jake and Shayne figured out how to do it (NSFW): How to put motherf*cking snakes on a motherf*cking page.

The first time I saw SoaP, the audience was lively. The second time I saw SoaP (last night with Flex), the audience was small and reserved. It is imperative that you experience this film with full audience participation - otherwise, it’s simply not worth the money. I’m already planning a SoaP party when the DVD is released. Are there any SoaP mobs in Seattle?"

Anyway, you can put Snakes on any webpage - look at this:

They figured out a way to put snakes on any site, interactively -

"You’re probably wondering how to put motherfucking snakes on a motherfucking page. We figured it out! Go ahead, try snaking your favorite Web site here:

The motherfucking result might not work properly if your motherfucking URL is built in Flash (or if the site kills frames automatically). We’re pre-caching the images below to make the motherfucking page load quicker. The motherfucking snakes will not begin to cascade until the motherfucking page has fully loaded."

Very entertaining.  I wonder if you can do other things with this capability (like capture data interacting with the page)….just a thought.

I just made it easier to put Snakes on a page, now you simply need to tack your domain on the end of a URL like this:
