Video Emails Could Help Conversion - Conversionrater

Posted by Marshall on July 09, 2006 | Link It

Video is supposed to convert better than textual email or textual web pages- and maybe it does (if you can actually measure it - not all analytics are set up or can measure Flash, Ajax, etc).

"Dan Tudor at LandingTheDeal.com discusses video emails and the reaction he’s had from using them."

Dan Tutor is a fellow KMM Blogger and I should read his blog more often.

"I’ve said before that video e-mail from VM Direct has changed the way I communicate, and I always get a great reaction from my video e-mail messages. "

Dan was mentioning this on our internal KMM blog a couple of months ago but I did not really look into it - perhaps I will now, not so much for myself, as for my clients (and I have several that would like to increase their conversion rate).

In fact, if you just email Dan dantudor@helloworld.com he’ll send you a Video Email and you can see for yourself.  I just did.

I may in fact, look into this for one of my house plan clients who seems perfect for Video Email.

Marshall,

Thanks for the mention. I love your stuff, so I am honored that you’d address the subject of video e-mails in your blog.

I won’t go into the whole infomercial on why I love video e-mails and how they’ve helped me in business. I’ll just issue the same invitation that you mentioned in your blog…e-mail me at dantudor@helloworld.com and I’ll send you one. That should give you a bit of an idea as to why I love video e-mail as a sales and marketing tool.

Thanks, Marshall! By the way, your video e-mail from me to you will arrive Monday once I get back into my office.
