The first part of my review of The MindValley Way to Ecommerce Success is here. To review, the course can be purchased online at http://www.mindvalleylabs.com for 297 dollars and I think it’s well worth it. Here’s part 2 of my review of The MindValley Way to Ecommerce Success.
Section 4 is about PPC advertising and the PPC advertising advice is excellent and the advice on writing ads and testing the copy and landing pages, while standard, is valuable here because you’ll probably be using PPC to advertise your product or service. The advance bidding section shows the right metrics to determine your bidding strategy. There’s also a section on Yahoo Search Marketing, so there’s coverage for more than Google AdWords. What’s missing is Microsoft AdCenter – which may still be considered too new – but I would have appreciated a good section on using the targeting and demographic tools as this is going to be more and more the future of PPC.
Section 5 deals with getting people to buy your product or service once they have seen it and metrics are offered – and being Webmetricsguru – I like Metrics – and evaluation how people react to copy is a good use of Metrics – and this course shows you how to set this up. Also the right way to build and test PPC landing pages is shown and I found it very well written; I was also familiar with many of the products in this section, including AskDatabase – so I knew that the authors were saying and I had experienced it myself – I had signed up initially to AskDatabase. Popups are also covered in terms of when to use them and when not to – and the different forms of popups.
In Section 6 you learn how to close the sale – make the sale that is – you’ll find out all you need to know about creating and nurturing customer trust for your business or service online. The shopping cart checkout process is covered in detail and your shown how to design the best checkout process for your business. When customers don’t complete the checkout process you can still capture the most important info and that is shown in this chapter. Creating Virtual EBook Covers (something I’ve done before with Online Generators) is covered in detail –as well as examples of how the virtual covers increased conversion rates! Invaluable!
I’ll cover the last two sections in my next and last post on The MindValley Way to Ecommerce Success - Part 3.
