Ok, got your attension. Amy Crehore’s paintings are hot and generate a good deal of Buzz and WebMetricsguru, as much as it is about Web Metrics, also focuses on Blog Buzz - and Amy’s work generates a lot of Blog Buzz. My discussions on the art itself - would go into my Art Blog - ARTNYC - so I will refrain from telling everyone about the wonderful painting below since I did already do that on ARTNYC with my post on Banana Eater Painting - from Little Hokum Rag

One of my favorite artists, Amy Crehore, just posted her beautiful "Banana Eater" painting, which will appear in Blab! 17. Gary Baseman bought it already, or I would have hocked my ukulele collection to buy it. Link
I just did something above that explains why Boing Boing creates so much residual traffic - I pasted the lastest Boing Boing blog post on Amy Crehore into my own blog post on WebMetricsguru; turns out I’m not alone - thouasands of others do the same thing.
Now, every time someone clicks on the links in my re-posted Boing Boing post they will go to those links and my blog will be shown as the referrer. However, in order for Amy to know that it’s this particular post of her painting she’d have to look at every referrer to know what brought them to her site(s). Better yet, if these urls were tagged beforehand - it would help to identify and qualify the blog buzz.
One of the things I was able to do with Blog Pulse was pick up all the Blog Citations it knew about for Amy Crehore in the last 3 months.

I think this is very incomplete - to say the least, but a beginning of a way to track Blog Buzz.
Also note the title of my blog post - Gary Baseman buys Amy Crehore’s "Banana Eater" painting; I haven’t even talked about Gary Baseman yet - but I did some research on him using the same tool. I found Blogpulse Conversation Tracker most effective when you combine the url of the blog with the name of the main person.
