The Future Of Music Artist Sites

Posted by Marshall on May 26, 2006 | Link It

A couple of years ago I took a Entertainment Internet Music Marketing Course at Baruch College  because I hoped to learn how music is marketed on the internet.  The question came up of what was a good site for a music band to have, or "what kind of site should a musician have if they really want to promote themselves and their music"?

Mild Insanity posted about Robin Thicke and I took a look at the site and it’s perfect example of the kind of site you’d want to have if your a musician.

"Calling all music professionals, don’t assume we’ll like whichever music you set to play automatically upon arrival to your site. Don’t assume we all have our volume set to an ideal level while cruising the internet. Don’t assume that because your ass is plastered on a bazillion CD covers that we should wait nineteen hours for your music to finish loading so we can actually see the rest of your website".

Let your visitors decide what they’re interested in.
