Kill Google, Vol. 3

Reading Greg Linden’s blog about what MSN would do if it really wanted to kill Google.

……….AdSense is now about half of Google’s revenue and their future growth. Microsoft should strangle Google’s air supply, their revenue stream.

……….Microsoft should have its tech and R&D teams develop better targeting through personalization, segmentation, real-time optimization, and content analysis.

It’s not just Microsoft that needs to do this… everyone ought to.

…..But I think the strategy to win is different. If Microsoft wants to win, it should play to its strengths. It should not seek to change the game. It should seek to end the game.

John Battelle agrees that MSN could do the most harm to Google by destorying AdSense.   But I don’t think MSN wants to destory AdSense; infact, a year ago, MSN wanted to buy Google.  I don’t think MSN could destroy AdSense because it still does nto have anything better to replace it with.

And why does Microsoft need to destory Google anyway….I got no idea of it from Linden’s blog.
