I’m going to use MSN AdCenter right now (as per my last post) - to target rich american millionaires, of the fly (riding by the seat of my pants); I don’t know what I’ll come up with - but it’s fun and it’s Friday, so lets see what I come up with.
I’m picking the term "download music" as my root term as Milton Pedraza suggested, because there’s room to grow that market to rich people (who typically don’t download that much online music). MSN’s Search Trend data does not seem to be consistant between this month and last, so I’ll not use it for now (I think MSN needs to address this before the product comes off of Beta).
Overall, not looking at rich people specifically, about 25% more females 18-35 appear to be searching or interested in downloading online music; above 35 years, it’s about eaual. According to the Luxury Institute study, 65% were men and and 35% woman with an average age of 56, so i’d be looking for keyword phases that give me that profile above. Here’s what I came up with.
download free music, download music, free mp3 music download, mp3 music download, music download free
These keywords best fell into the age/sex demographics, so I started with them; however i found that "free mp3 music download" was the only phase that matched the LifeStyle profile sufficently, so I will use only that keyword to start and stem outwards from.
The areas to geo-target are Dallas Tx, Islip NY, Riverton (California?), Roswell (NM?), Atlanta Ga, etc. From the scant search trend data, Sunday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s look like the best day to target as more searches are being performed.
That’s the beginning of targeting music downloads to rich american millionaires - but alot more refinement in the keyword list would be needed (perhaps in a following post I’ll take that on, not today).
