I took a test run to Google AdWords new Demographics tool
I selected Females 18-24 making between 40,000 and 59,999 per year (the same as the most popular audience for Online Tattoos). Here’s what I got:
It’s a lot different than MSN’s tool. Useful to come up with a list of sites that I could adverstise on, not so useful in indentifying the target audience. In other words, if all I needed to do is find the sites I should advertise on for a target audience I already know I want to reach - the new AdWords Demographics service is helpful. If I want to do research on my audience - probably not that helpful.
We’ll see what the feedback for this tool is in a couple of days.
