Still in San Francisco today - been incredibly busy with Emetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the recent Board meeting of the Web Analytics Association and so I haven't had much time to really post - except the two interviews I did on Buzzlogic and Nuconomy (perhaps the best interviews in video done for either product/platform, so far).
I just didn't have the time and bandwidth to post any more than I did - was focused on taking the time to speak to people and take in information - and then begin to digest it (more when I get back to NYC tomorrow).
I'm just reading my RSS feeds now and digested all of Paul Krugman's recent posts (which are really good - haven't yet read the last 3 Op-Ed's that I missed since I've been here in San Francisco). And now I'm taking a few hours to catch up with my RSS Feeds and came across what I think is a very interesting - both from a Social Media and Web Analytics point of view, post and video on hiring and social media SMB7 - Hiring/Getting hired in a Web 2.0 World
I don't think any of the big job hiring sites are really leveraging Social Media in the way suggested here (and you would think we'd develop metrics for this kind of outreach) but I think it's worth noting that some people, sick of the old resume process, are finding solutions in Social Media that get better results.
Here's the video of using Social Media to hire someone - but it's an open question weather a social media methodology to job search and hiring can scale - maybe it can and it just hasn't yet happened.
