Spent Friday night and most of Saturday hanging out with a bunch of well known bloggers (80+) that met in NYC to socialize, party, exchange books and explore NYC.
It was a blast and there's already a lot of photos up - I also made a video of parts of Virtual World 2008 and Blogger Social 08 - and I've been on the go for the last 6 days, non stop, so today I really needed to rest, vegetate, and, to some extent, I did.
Didn't have a chance to blog much either - and I regret that - but there was too much going on - and I met many really great people - still, Blogger Social 08 was a mixed bag - I had a goal of making 80 new friends - and I probably succeeded - so from that standpoint - it was a good conference.
I also noticed that our gift bags had a lot of books, and since we're all bloggers - at the conference - it didn't escape me that Blogger Social was just about getting a bunch of Bloggers to hang out, smoke cigars and take boat rides around Manhattan - it was also a way to get books and websites reviewed by a lot of bloggers. I didn't really have a problem with that - and I took all the books (maybe 8) and will read them when I have time and review them (if I think I can contribute something to the interpretation of what each book is about).
Right now feel, right now, I'm saturated - but, maybe I'd do the Saturday night dinner next time.
Here's a post by Jason Falls, who I hung out with quite a lot, was great company about Blogger Social, The Echo Chamber And Editorial Purpose and also, here's my video, which covers part of Blogger Social 08:
