Last night I posted On my way to Social Networking Conference in Miami and today I arrived and spent most of the day so far with my WAA Social Media Committee Co-Chairs, Jared and Elena, at the Miami Convention Center (where the Miami Antique Show is also going on).
Tired, and the trip is catching up with me - but here's my Twitter Feed for today; you'd read it from the bottom up to get the chronology right.
I just checked into my room at the Royal Palm Hotel, unwinding 4 a bit I think the newness and inness of social networks make it interesting but the speakers don't seem to be saying all that much think I need to take a breather….the content here is good but it's the networking with people that's better I have yet to really hear something today that is that interesting. on the other hand, it's an interesting mix of people attending I am having a heard time staying awake, I think the trip down here has caught up with me finding there is not that much new content that I have heard yet mobile social networks are different than what they'd do while on the desktop innovate on the unique aspects of mobile sucha s merge social network and your mobile address book leverage the power of Mobile Push with something "actionable" Blackberry RIM did work with Facebook lately and did some interesting stuff mobile social networks don't replace the desktop, they complement it the speaker this afternoon mentioned that more people buy mobile phones when advertising to a social network than otherwise 10 golden rules 4 social networks are being presented now mobile internet session at Social Networking conf @frankgilory great, thenks! just read my tweets, I will be live blogging this Mark Lesnick isn't saying anything we haven't hears before buddywave.com, flock.com, avatars, Oddcast..(boaring…) microsoft invested 240 mill on Facebook which sends a big message of confidence facebook users who are young don't want to be on the same network as their parents, seeking a replacement for facebook
ipart.cn, a popular Chinese social network how do u make more money using your social network? people are spending a lot of time on social networks, this is from Mark Lesnick of Social Networking Watch and I think that's how bloggers are looked at, as well, when they live blogs but I look at a blogger at a event like this one as a reporter this about the legal ramifications of blogging at events in terms of who owns the event or runs it illusion of control, people are twittering from events (as I am) and using mibile camaras.. as I well know, since KMM has been penalized by Google and it has cut down traffic, including mine, by 2/3 however, I am of mixed minds about that as Google has also gone on a rampage against blogs speaker seems to think most of the top websites in traffic are blogs and blogs have emerged as a viable business model at the end of the Technorati session here in Miami live blogging the Social Networking Conference, ran into a few people I know already at LGA with Elena ready to take off for Miami
