Kevin Rose – Digg

Founded 3 companies at the same time; Digg kept control of the company from a technical and board direction (even after going though a couple rounds of funding).  Kevin sees a lot of copy cats and not a lot of innovation; a lot of money being thrown around but not a lot of creativity – sort of a bubble in a way.

Kevin talked about Diggnation – he was asked about his fans and he doesn’t actually know that he has such a fan base (and Kevin said the doesn’t think of himself as much of a blogger) but he has a fun time doing Diggnation.

Does one need to be in Silicon Valley to be successful?  Kevin said it makes it a lot easier due to location – events.

World is improving but at the expense of the environment
