Found a Press Release about OdinJobs Releases Job Market Statistics Tool For Salary Analysis and it looked interesting - so I took a look and liked what I saw, so far:
"The market statistics tool allow users to query our knowledge base of over 6 million jobs to determine salary distribution and job demand" says Naveen Bala, founder and president of OdinJobs.com. "Users can also compare multiple skill combinations to see what is more popular and what pays more."
The tool supports complex search queries and a user can see what skills go together, what combinations pay more and can compare multiple locations across the United States."
Can also use a Google Maps Mashup of the US to focus on these features:
- Click on Marker to See Median Salary and Job Demand
- Zoom in to See Metro Statistics
- Zoom Out to See All State Level Statistics
- Use Data View Toggle to See Salary or Total Jobs Heat Map
- Use Filter By to See Statistics By a Job Role
It looks interesting but haven't really tried using it for any real task - but it's one of the tools that came up in my email alert so I thought I'd look it over.
