I attended the Metaverse Meetup & Second Life Herald Book Release At 3rd Ward last night and had a pretty good time. Jerry Paffendorf took videos to the party which was for the book release of The Second Life Herald: The Virtual Tabloid That Witnessed The Dawn of The Metaverse at http://www.amazon.com/Seco
While I didn't buy the book, I did think about it and while I did take several pictures, the videos that Jerry Paffendoft took along with the photos Tish Shute of UgoTrade was taking (several of me) when published, will be much better than anything I'd be able to take with my 1.3 Mega-Pixel mobile phone camera - especially with the low light conditions.
Here's the video Jerry posted on Facebook (you'll need a Facebook account to see it), also here's some photos that Jerry Paffendorf took - but I can't swear all were taken last night.
When UgoTrade publishes photos of last nights Metaverse meetup (here) and book signing party - I'll update this post with a link to Tish Shute's photos (I hope the one's of me came out OK). I guess the photos of me aren't horrible though we always look a little different in our own eyes than how we look when photographed by others.
It was a good party last night - looks like I missed the Wello World part, as I wasn't around when what was left of the party went into Jerry's office. Oh well, next time - it was hard arguing with a ride home - and given the party was at Third Ward in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (kinda in a "remoteish" area) I took the ride over the excitement of staying longer.
But that won't be the case for the several parties coming up next week connected with Ad-Tech and, perhaps, Future of Television that I'll attend, if I can - all in Manhattan.
