Tonight, just before midnight, Webmetricsguru.com got it's 800,000th visit which came from Colombia, Maryland.
While traffic has been somewhat down lately, it took a couple of weeks to go from 700,000 to 800,000 visits, and it was but two months ago when Webmetricsguru.com reached it's 500,000th visitor - and at the moment, Mike Moran was sitting in my office, at IBM and I showed him the 500,000th visit.
Well, now, there's another 300,000 past that and at this rate, I should reach the millionth visit sometime in late January or early February. I know I'll pull out all stops for the millionth visit …that's a big deal it'll be right around the 2 year anniversary of this blog.
Only one thing my happen - it's possible when Know More Media Blogs all move over to WordPress and run on B5's architecture - that the analytics will be different or there will be an interruption or change that will make it unclear when I actually got to the 1,000,000th visit.
Still, whenever the millionth visit happens - I'm pulling out a bottle of wine and celebrating - and if I can figure out who the millionth visit came from, I'll send them a painting of mine.
