I meant to go to Eric Peterson's presentation on Wednesday afternoon after my own (it was in the same Blue Room, after all) but ended up at the Air and Space Museum in downtown Washington, instead. Eric Peterson mentioned earlier at Emetrics that he'd explain the following Engagement Formula at the session I missed -

But all is not lost because Peterson wrote about it in a recent post titled How to measure visitor engagement, redux and it looks pretty good.
Knowing me, I'll have to try it once or twice to see how it works, if I can actually get the information in the form that he's asking for it.
I suppose, since the formula is defined, perhaps it can be calculated automatically, by a web analytics platform software setup for it - but I'm wondering how easy that would be, since what he's asking for like the Brand Index and the Feedback Index need a lot of human interaction to come up with those percentages to plug into the formula.
I'll check back on Eric's post in a couple of days to see the comments - right now there are only 3 - I'd like to read how others are using Eric's Visitor Engagement Metric.
