There's been a lot of talk about balanced scorecard concept though I never built one myself and wasn't aware there was software that could help with building a balanced scorecard....but there is now one program that I know of called the Balanced Scorecard Designer from Strategy2Act.com that helps you create a balanced scorecard.
In fact, you can download a trial version of the Balanced Scorecard Designer and then purchase a full version if you like the program.
I looked at some of the examples of the Strategy2Act balanced scorecard software which is early version of the software - there are many case studies and I looked at the once for Real Estate first

"....use predefined metrics to measure the performance of Real Estate assets of the company, providing top managers with clear view over real estate assets, their current and planned performance. Also, this balanced scorecard provides necessary indicators to benchmark real estate assets. You can Download trial version or purchase full version of Realty Metrics."
Another area of interest is HR KPI Metrics Performance using the balanced scorecard methodology to determine HR Metrics:

You can measure and control the performance of an HR department with Excel HR Balanced Scorecard; this scorecard has some key metrics that will help to measure and control the performance of most HR departments. You can Download trial version of HR Metrics or the full version when your ready.
What impresses me the most about the Balanced Scorecard Designer set of balanced scorecards is the depth of case studies and examples - Strategy2Act has done a very good job of demonstrating balanced scorecards in many types of businesses such as:
HR Metrics: HR, HR Hire, HR Training.
CRM Metrics: Customer Relationship, Call-Center, Help Desk.
Marketing Metrics: Web Investment, Brand Evaluation, Presentation, Marketing.
Sales Metrics: Retail Sales, Sales.
Security Metrics: Identity Theft Risks, Security and Privacy, IT Security.
Transportation Metrics: Supply Chain, Transportation.
Advertising Metrics: Web Advertising, Press Advertising, TV Advertising, Outdoor Advertising, Cinema Advertising.
Banking Metrics: Credit Risk, Retail Banking.
Other metrics: Real Estate, Inventory and Warehousing, Productivity.
